REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST
David has been an associate of the centre since 1988, and has more than thirty years of experience as a psychologist. He specializes in psychological and psychoeducational assessments of children, adolescents and adults, including those for learning disabilities and problems, dyslexia, ADHD, as well as for the gifted and talented. In his assessments, David will consult with parents and may consult with schools, and other professionals regarding the personal, behavioural, and educational concerns of the children he is helping. David will also provide a written assessment that parents can choose to use at the school in order to develop a more comprehensive educational plan for their child.
Dr. Williams has worked for the B.C. Ministry of Education as an auditor of School District Special Education Services in school districts throughout British Columbia.
David has taught graduate level courses in psychological assessment and evaluation at the University of British Columbia and has also worked at the BC Children's Hospital Department of Psychology, at the Sunny Hill Hospital Child Development Centre, and with the Student Services Department of the Vancouver School Board.
