Lori is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with several years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and individuals.
Lori has a long history of working with parents and their children as a parent educator. She is trained to facilitate parenting groups (STEP) and provide personalized parenting coaching. She also uses art and play therapy to assist children in expressing their feelings.
Lori has worked with a wide spectrum of clinical issues including family of origin issues, relationship difficulties, anxiety related disorders, depression, sexual abuse, disordered eating, and trauma. She brings a warm, sensitive, client centred approach to her work using a broad range of psychological theories and approaches depending on a client’s particular needs and concerns. Drawing upon cognitive-behavioural techniques (CBT), attachment theory, hypnosis and EMDR, she helps clients to better deal with trauma and other related issues. Lori also has a special interest in trauma related to childbirth.
