 Mena Perrotta

Mena is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with many years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and individuals. She uses a variety of methods and works in collaboration with clients to develop a treatment plan, which is targeted to addressing presenting issues as well as tailored to the client's specific needs. She has extensive experience in supporting those dealing with a wide range of emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger and self-esteem issues. In her work with children and families, Mena uses art and play therapy to assist children in expressing their feelings. Trained in Collaborative Divorce, she supports families in dealing with issues around separation and is experienced in working with children and adolescents around issues of abuse and trauma. As well, she assists families in developing healthy relationship dynamics and problem solving skills.


In addition to her practice at the centre, Mena is a clinical supervisor at a community agency and provides clinical supervision to other counsellors. She has led psycho-educational groups for parents, as well as provided consultation services and workshops to school personnel on supporting children with various behavioural and emotional difficulties in the classroom. Mena is an adjunct Faculty member of the Adler School of Psychology.
